  1. A happy client makes a happy upholsterer

    November 11, 2011 by Kristen

    Happy Friday everyone!

It is a fantastic Friday around the Swell Dwellings studio. Last night, I delivered a set of reupholstered retro chairs for a new client and local designer – he loved them!

The set of six Danish modern chairs were designed for a family with small children. Hence, the fabric selection of a gorgeous black faux leather, easily rescued from spills.
    Here’s the after:

    And a closeup:

The chairs arrived to me on Tuesday with great bones, save for the hideous fabric choice, and absolutely sans of any cushion. Quite better after I finished.

This client was an absolute joy to work with! I’ll be starting on the second project from him this weekend. Look for pics soon!

    Have a great weekend!

  3. The Flea Off Market

    November 8, 2011 by Kristen

I can NOT wait til Saturday. Why, you ask? Well it’s the first ever Flea Off Market. It will be taking place in the parking lot next to Salvo on Shelby Street from 12-6, and it bodes to be one of the coolest things ever. My friend, Ron Jasin, of Madpixel fame, will be there, as well as lots of other cool vendors, and even several local food trucks. Check out the Flea Off Market facebook page for more info.

    … Is it Saturday yet??
